![]() ![]() If I fail to beat the opposing team and all my beasts die, I lose a quill which is akin to a life. Various factors come into play during battles, such as obstacles, random occurrences, and opposing units that make every encounter feel fresh and challenging in different ways. I opt for the most peculiar character of the three: A blue Yoda-like figure by the default name of Loony. I can even choose my own Inkulinati from three different characters before the journey begins, with the option of changing up their name, creature type, and the color I want my team to wear. Some maps will also give you different paths to take, but they all ultimately lead you to face a duel. I'm faced with multiple scenarios, such as wild beasts encounters that see me fight with set units already placed on the page, along with Elite beast encounters that challenge me with a tougher enemy. Lastly, Kieltyka explains that the Yaza Games team would "very much welcome the community’s feedback towards the general structure of achievements and your ideas of what should be added. The core Journey mode takes place across maps, with each one offering a great amount of variety. So no need to worry about having to redo everything all over again!" Since player game progress/data is tracked regardless of achievements beings live, achievements will retroactively unlock for all players who met the respective criteria for each achievement. "When we add achievements support in the future, for example if one of the achievements will be to 'defeat the X boss' - if you indeed defeated this boss during Game Preview when no achievements were available, you will receive that achievement as soon as achievements become available in the 1.0 release. ![]() ![]() "For all folks interested in getting that precious Gamerscore - you can safely start playing Inkulinati from the moment it comes out to Game Preview and your progress will eventually count towards collecting those achievements in the 1.0 version of the game," Kieltyka assures us. One important thing to note is that Inkulinati's achievements will apparently be retroactive. "We want to make sure that your achievement hunting needs will be met to their fullest satisfaction," Kieltyka says. This will allow us to 'calibrate' those achievements, and once we and our community are happy with them, we will implement them for all the Xbox players too." On this note, Yaza Games expects Xbox achievements to be added with Inkulinati's full 1.0 release. ![]() We are planning on having achievements on Steam and GOG.com during the Game Preview time since it’s much easier there to tinker with achievements - we can make changes on the fly so to speak. Kieltyka adds that another reason behind this is that "we want to have a bit more time to test out which achievements will be fun to collect and unlock. Basically, we believe that achievements should almost always be added to a full content-wise game." "There are few reasons to it, but the most important one is that the game will receive a lot of content during the Game Preview, and we want that added content to influence the structure of the achievements. Inkulinati achievements set to be added at the game's 1.0 release"So after careful consideration, we decided that while the game is in the Xbox Game Preview phase, there won’t be any achievements to collect," explains Yaza Games producer Ryszard Kieltyka. ![]()
